SOIL indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)

31 January 2019

We are proud to announce that SOIL has been accepted by Clarivate Analytics to be indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE); the Journal Citation Reports (JCR); and Current Contents/Agriculture, Biology & Environmental Sciences.

We, the executive editors, are extremely happy with the acceptance of SOIL for the Science Citation Index Expanded. It is an important step for SOIL to be officially recognized as a journal with integrity based on high-quality papers. This is an accomplishment that all editors and authors of SOIL should be proud of, not least Prof. Dr. Lily Pereg, who was a strong force behind SOIL but sadly was abruptly stopped in her efforts (https://www.egu.eu/news/466/obituary-lily-pereg-19642019/) just before this recognition. SOIL will continue to be a journal of high standards in honour of her.

Please note that it may take several weeks or even months until Clarivate Analytics has processed all article data following the data transfer from Copernicus Publications. Because of the acceptance date and the JCR coverage period, SOIL will likely not appear with an Impact Factor in the June 2019 release of the JCR. However, all articles from volume 1 (2015) onwards will be included in SCIE.
